About
What Halab is
Halab publishes two things, kept deliberately separate.
Stories are fiction: short drama about families, marriages, workplaces and the small injustices of ordinary life.
Survival is not fiction. It covers real accidents and rescues in cave diving, open water, mountaineering and the backcountry — real people, real dates, real places.
How the two are made
- Stories are written by the Halab editorial team. Every name, place and event in them is invented.
- Survival accounts are built from primary sources: local reporting, specialist publications, rescue-service statements and first-hand accounts. Never from retold videos or translated summaries.
- Survival articles carry their sources. If a detail cannot be confirmed, we leave it out rather than guess.
- Images accompanying Survival articles are AI-generated illustrations, never photographs of the actual incidents.
What we do not do
We do not publish political content and we do not republish copyrighted work.
